Revamp Your Current Closet by adding a D.I.Y. Screen Print to Your Favorite Piece

Have you ever dreamed up a design that you thought perfectly describe you in a way words could not describe? As if you had a personal brand this image could be your logo? Or what about just dreaming of that next badass tattoo design that you can’t stop thinking about, but for one reason or another haven’t gone down to the shop to get? Well guys, ME TOO! I have been dreaming of this design for over a year now to be my first tattoo. It represents me completely for who I am, where I’ve been, and where I want to go. Unfortunately, I have been too scared to actually get it inked. I mean the first tattoo is the scariest right?

My tattoo design with final touches by TKK

In order to solve my little ink dilemma I turned to my boyfriend, artist and designer TKK, for an alternative way to immortalize my ink. We turned to screen prints. It’s a quick, versatile, and most importantly machine washable way to update your current wardrobe and add some personality to your closet! What we did was transform my classic white BCBG jacket into a more rocked out version with this design on the shoulder blades.

If you are like me and you are having trouble committing to a tattoo design, try this screen print idea to test the waters so you can have a solid visual of what your design will look like. If instead you decide you love this design more as a piece of wearable, or hanging art (a much less permanent option) then pump the breaks on the tattoo and head to your local art supply shop! Either way just have fun and let’s your creative flag fly free!
