So yesterday was National S’mores Day, which I’m sure everyone already knows by now and is trying to forget. Like many of you I caved after seeing hundreds of s’mores on Instagram and had to make one for myself. So here is my open face D.I.Y. s’more for those wanting to indulge in some chocolatey goodness while watching their guilty pleasure reality show (Keeping up with the Kardashians) like me!
- Graham crackers
- Chocolate chips
- Organic Peanut Butter
Spread your organic peanut butter on one side of the graham cracker.
Add as many chocolate chips as your stomach desires. Personally I wanted enough to cover all of my peanut butter.
Roast your marshmallow until it’s golden brown. I used a wooden chopstick to roast my mallow over my stove top. This was my way of recreating a campfire.
Pro Tip: You can always put your marshmallow in the microwave for 7 seconds on a microwave safe plate if you don’t have a gas stove top
After toasting your mallow place it on top of your chocolate chips and voila! A perfectly good s’more in the comfort of your own home. Best part is…it only takes 2 minutes to make, that’s just enough time during commercial break!
