Margaret & Oday
Agency AZ models in their last looks
2017 kicked off with a big fashion bang with Oday Shakar showing his Spring collection right here in the Valley. The venue was absolutely stunning with black and white checkered flooring (also doubled as our runway) cocktails, a view of Camelback Mountain and of course an amazing guest list.
The Oday Shakar spring collection was something out of Khaleesi’s own private collection. It was the perfect balance of strength and romance from immaculately tailored leather bodices to free flowing high-waisted skirts. I truly felt like I was about to be swooped up by my dragons and overthrow King’s Landing – I mean seriously someone needs to call up Emilia Clarke to let her know we have found her next outfit!
Oday’s collection was simply stunning and there was no surprise how quickly the pieces were selling! I was so lucky to be selected as a model for the exclusive show put on by the always wonderful Merritt Productions, and I’m finally here to give a little look behind-the-scenes of the show.
It’s been almost three years since I first dyed my hair to become a platinum blonde. As much as I have been loving the white locks, I was ready for a bit of a change and wanted to start playing with color. That’s why I turned to the fabulous hairstylist Miriam over at Model Citizen for a little help. We decided to play with pastels and go lavender for my first pop of color.
I loved how it turned out! The lavender is subtle enough for work, but in the right light really can grab some attention.
A leather jacket is a true closet staple. Unfortunately for me, I lost mine last spring so I have been on the hunt for a new one. After months of searching with no real luck, I stumbled into Zara where I found exactly what I didn’t know I was looking for.
This season I’m trying a new bold look in a metallic silver leather jacket! Truly obsessed!

I was recently lucky enough to have been asked to be a part of a special project showcasing the most amazing clothing collection featuring some major designers. The shoot was inspired by the 80’s woman. With diva attitude that only Iman could carry and shoulder pads up to your ears how could you not love the 80’s? The woman of the 80’s had strength (you could see it in her power suits) style, and plenty of character. We were lucky enough to embody these women today and all the while doing so while wearing some of the most fabulous pieces of runway-ready clothing.
If names such as McQueen or Galliano means anything to you, or maybe you are just dying to revisit the awesomeness that was the 80’s, than I highly recommend catching a glimpse of this glamour collection. The Emphatics installation will soon be featured in the Phoenix Art Museum so watch out for updates!

Some say it takes years to really know if you’ve found the right guy, others say you know in an instant. Or maybe it actually just takes a couple of hard ciders at a pub trivia night and BAM Mr. Right will finally appear…well at least that’s what happened with my friend Chelsea.
Now almost 2 years after their first date, and after already being technically married for about 9 months, Chelsea and Graeme have had their big wedding day! Think southwest charm meets the Scottish Highlands and you have pictured the perfect backdrop for the big day. They had bagpipers, keeley dancing, IPAs on tap, a taco bar and plenty of plaid. After an amazing night celebrating these two people who prove love comes when you least expect it, I wish the happy couple congratulations and thank you for sharing your big day with all of us. Sláinte! (That’s cheers in Gaelic y’all)
9:00 A.M. and my Uber driver calls to let me know he’s outside waiting. With only my ASU backpack and vintage Dooney & Bourke in tow, I prefer to travel light, I make my way to the airport to catch my morning flight to Vegas. Why Vegas you ask? Well today I escape my 9 to 5 job today to walk in an ETRO show with Saks Fifth Avenue!
It’s not everyday I get to be a real model, you know the ones that actually jet set and make runway and photoshoots a full-time gig, so when I get the opportunity I pounce! Today I share my behind-the-scenes moments of what life is like as a model on the go and walking for ETRO and Saks.
At 5’11” I’ll be honest, it is a challenge to find a good pair of jeans. My requirements are simple, fits the waist so you can’t tell I just a massive lunch, long enough so my ankles don’t show when I walk and comes in a medium or dark wash. I don’t think I’m asking for much, but unfortunately this is one tall order to fill – pun intended.
In order to still manage winter seasons without freezing my stems off I now look towards Zara to help a girl out. Recently I discovered my new jean obsession – the ‘Essential Fit’ flared skinny jeans – while browsing the local mall. These jeans give me that oh so cool 70’s boho style, the length actually is long enough and best part is…they were only $30!

From bubble baths to bubble masks, I’m always looking for the next best thing for my skin. Though with so many skincare products on the market today sometimes it’s hard to cut through the noise. We are constantly asking what really works and wait a second can I even afford that? Trust me I know the struggle.
As a model it’s actually part of my job to keep my skin healthy and blemish free. That’s why I’ve been on the market looking for a new product to help with my blackheads and clearing up my skin. I’m a sucker to try new products and recently I stumbled upon MEMEBOX‘s Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask.
This mask is perfect for clearing up unhappy skin. The carbonation affect really works! You truly can hear the bubbling in action, and right away I noticed my blackheads were clearing up. If you’re looking for something that can help clearing out your pores and that won’t break the bank I would recommend this product.
